May 30 2011
First Ride of the Season on Memorial Day.  We were invited to the VFW for clam chowder then on to the Festival of Flags at Greenacres.

 

Dec 17th
BRO made up care packages for the homeless and handed them out at the "church on the Street" 







Marine Corp Toys for Tots Run on Dec 4th

BRO donated 175 toys to the Toys for Tots program !!!
 






On Oct 10th Riders From Sound Harley came to the Bikers Remembered Memorial at the Blue Mountain Grill to honor Jay Jones "Viper" .  Jay was a service Tech at Sound Harley.  Many of Jay's friends rode up from Sound Harley to have a short memorial service while Jay's daughter placed the plaque on the memorial sign.
Thank you to Bikers Reaching Out, Blue Mountain Grill, Sound Harley and all Jays friends for making it happen.

July 17th ...
Had a great ride down to AMOT " A Moment of Thunder" for the troops. About 16 BRO members and friends made the 200 mile + trip to Skyomish Wa for the event. The organizers were very happy to see us come. The following is from their web site.

  A Moment Of Thunder Thanks to ALL that attended AMOT 2010. The day went over well. We are already thinking about AMOT 2011. I hope there isn't as much wind then. Keep an eye on our posts as new info may come up as we go through the year. Also a special thank you to all the volunteers. It couldn't have happened without your support. Also thanks to BRO "Bikers Reaching Out" for coming out in
big numbers. your group really added to the event.

July 15th
BRO rides for the Patriot Guard - Service for SGT Robert G. Panthen. SGT Panthen passed away 26 June 2010 from cancer. He served from 1969 to 1971, with the First Air Cav (Recon) in Vietnam. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Heroism.

Memorial Day Ride

Did a ride to Memorial in Ferndale



May 15th
Clean up at Bikers Oasis. Got the rest rest/recreation area cleaned up in the back then ate some BBQ.

   

April 24th 
Had a nice run to honor Graham. Started from Sound Harley with BRO members and Bikers for Christ and rode up Chuckanut which was one of Grahams favorite rides. Grahams family was with us and we stopped and payed tribute to him overlooking the water on a great riding day. 
 
 

 

Saturday April 17th

Several BRO members attended The service for Combat Vet, Danny Michael McClain,

Danny Michael McClain died Monday, April 12, 2010 from complications sustained in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday, March 14, 2010. He was 63, born July 12, 1946 in Glendale, CA to Milton James and Viola Clara (McGrew) McClain.

Danny served two tours in Vietnam with the Navy Seabees as a Combat Engineer. He was a dedicated member of Combat Veterans International, Disabled American Veterans, and Vietnam Veterans of America.

I am very sorry to inform all of you that we lost a BRO member yesterday due to a motorcycle accident on Hwy #9.

Member Graham lost his life and now as BRO members we will put together a ride in his memory, Suzy Q will make patches that the club will give to all members who respond with a request - Norseman and Vapor will organize our steps from this point forward.

Instigator informed the group today at our spring meeting, He showed great courage and strength to attend today and bring us all the news, I sincerely thank him for that.  

Sound Harley is putting together a ride and we will be informed so we can show our respects by attending and riding in Grahams name.
